Cell phones. They will capture your attention and set your wallet on fire if you let them. So, what are some of the ways that you can prevent the latter? See my explanations below:
Different phones have different apps, tools, and settings that make it difficult to know how to save data on each one. So, we have gathered a few tips for you and your employees on how to avoid going over your limit when using an iPhone:
Change your settings
Below the Mobile Data Usage counters in Settings > Mobile is a list of apps that use mobile data. These are all enabled automatically, but you can stop certain apps from using large amounts of data by toggling them on or off here.
* Note: By doing this, you will be able to use Wi-Fi when available, but when it is out of range, users will not be able to use data.
Disable Cellular Data
This is a rather extreme solution, but you can head to the Cellular screen and toggle the Cellular Data switch at the top to off position. You won’t be able to use cellular data again until you re-enable it. This is a good solution if you need to use cellular data only rarely, or if you’re nearing the end of the month and want to avoid costly overage charges.
If you want to be extremely blunt about your employees’ data usage, this is the best route. However, be prepared for a ticked-off worker or two (it will probably be the ones who watch cat videos all day anyway).
